Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna Steaks

INGREDIENTS

  • 1-2 (8oz) Ahi Tuna Steaks

  • 1 tablespoon Coarsely Cracked Black Pepper

  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil

  • ½ tablespoon Soy Sauce

  • ¼ cup dry Sherry

  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Chives or Green Onions

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat Sesame Oil in a nonstick skillet over high heat. Add Tuna Steak(s). Sear until brown outside and just opaque in the center, (approximately 2 minutes per side).

  2. Using tongs, transfer Tuna Steak(s) to a platter. Tent loosely with foil to keep warm.

  3. Add Soy Sauce, then Sherry to same skillet. Reduce heat and simmer until mixture is slightly reduced, scraping up any brown bits, about 1 minute.

  4. Spoon sauce over Tuna Steak(s) and sprinkle with Chives/Green Onions.
